Meeting businesses’ needs in the employment field, introducing young people to the world of work thanks to advice, combining work and study and training is a role of the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur: as part of this, the Regional Training Campus will accommodate, over its 24,000 m2, some 2,000 students at the heart of the Eco-Vallée and the Metropole of Nice Côte d’Azur.
In a very definite Mediterranean spirit with its hidden gardens, white buildings, openings to the south, the whole combining a cleverly organised diversity of life where one can live, learn and conduct business in the same place: such will be the future training campus of the CCI Nice Côte d'Azur, as designed by the architect Corinne Vezzoni, winner of the competition along with Jean-Philippe Cabane.
The Regional Training Campus will include a course leading to a CAP in Engineering and a Specialist Masters course: car servicing, health/pharmacy/personal support services, a sales and business school, an Engineering school.
It will also bring together three organisations which have been dispersed across the department:
- the IFAERO (Institute of Aeronautics Training);
- the IFA (Institute of Automobile Training);
- the IFPS (Institute of Pharmacy and Health Training).
The aim is to have a benchmark hub, oriented towards training for the jobs of the future and supporting sectors which will drive growth in the region in conjunction with businesses.
The project will also include a business service hub as well as a housing element run by local operator Habitat 06: a residence of 100 housing units (3,000 m²) for young people on placements and 47 rental properties for workers of 2 to 4 apartments (3,000 m²)
