Standing in the artificial lake in Parc Phoenix, in a building of white marble and glass designed by the Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, the Asian Arts Museum evokes the spirit of the main civilizations of Asia, India, Southeast Asia, China and Japan through both classical and contemporary works. Temporary exhibitions, as well as performances and other activities, like the famous ‘tea ceremony’ illustrate the Museum’s creativity.

The white marble and glass building of the Museum of Asiatic Arts stands on an artificial lake in the Parc Phoenix botanical gardens. Through classic as well as contemporary works of art, it bears witness to the principal civilisations of Asia, India, south-East Asia, China and Japan. Nice’s Museum of Asiatic Arts opens its doors for working meetings, breakfasts, conferences and evening receptions. Events of all sizes, big and small, are set off to their best advantage in this beautiful and unique setting on the botanical garden’s artificial lake.

The minimalist and uncluttered sophistication of the museum area is ideal for meals, buffets and cocktail receptions for up to 250 people.
The Tea Pavilion is a perfect and original spot for breakfasts, meetings and conferences. Traditional Asiatic entertainment can be provided by Japanese and Chinese masters.

The museum is also available for photo and film shoots on Tuesdays (museum closed).
Free guided tours are available if the museum area is hired.
Other attractions can also be organised for a fee, to add a lively touch to your evenings: ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), Origami (the Japanese art of paper folding), shodo (Japanese calligraphy), shufa (Chinese calligraphy), Chanoyu (Japanese tea ceremony)
