Saint Jeanne d'Arc Church was built using the plans of the Parisian architect, Jacques Droz, between 1926 and 1933. Initially, it was Niçois architect Castel who had been commissioned in 1914, but the First World War led to construction being abandoned. Futuristic for the time, its style, unique on the Côte d'Azur, attracts the attention of passers-by, particularly for its immaculate white colour.
Then, its 64m arrow-shaped bell tower, decorated with twisted flames, gives the impression of a huge candle pointing to the sky which is visible from the four corners of the city. For its part, the rest of the building mainly consists of curves, particularly featuring three impressive domes supported by eight cupolas. Its porch also takes an ellipsoidal shape and is in complete harmony with the monument. Inside the church, the magnificent frescoes of Russian artist, Eugène Klementief extend over 95m². They adorn the white concrete walls, rounded just like the exterior of the building. Saint Jeanne d'Arc church has been registered as a Historic Monument since June 1992 and also has the "20th Century Heritage" label.
